Helpful Website Tips
Updated
On: May 13, 2009 (10:51:00)
Here are some tips to make using the website and email more user friendly.
Set bookmarks or short cuts;
Once you get to the first home page where you log in, (that's right here) do a right click and select "create short cut", a direct link will appear on your desktop (you can label this anything you want). From now on to get to the login screen all you have to do is click on the short cut on your desktop. Do the same for the email log in screen, now you can go to either the website (like to vote) or to the email login screen with one easy step, you no longer have to go the dept. site select the union site and then select the email link. You go straight from your desktop to which ever site you choose.
Have your union email forwarded to your personal email address;
Login to the website, on the top line where it says "welcome" click on the "edit your settings" box. First of all confirm the personal information for accuracy then go to the E-Mail Address Box and enter your personal email address in place of the union email address, if you want your emails to go to your home address. DO NOT USE your department email address here, we send out political union business items that are not allowed on the departments public computers.(could result in discipline) If you don't have a personal email address then by all means please use the union's email as you would a personal account that's what it is for. Also in this screen you can change your password as you wish.
New E-Mail;
The new iaff726 email is available to use, so you should switch over to it. Until we get the new web site up and running you need to leave the e-mail address on the website either at your personal one or the 2175 one until we do the full meal deal switch over, otherwise you will not receive group emails. If you make the change to a personal email address as noted above you will not need to ever change that again unless you change your personal email address.
Please try to utilize the above tips to have a better experience on the sites,
As always if you have problems contact myself or Kevin Blank kblank@iaff726.org for assistance.

On: Mar 27, 2009 (05:50:00)
Come join us in recognizing our newest members to L726 as well as congratulate those members that have been promoted or are retiring. We will be at the Liberty Theatre again on April 11th. The festivities begin at 1700hrs, dinner at 1800hrs and awards at 1900hrs. This is a great time to celebrate the mergers between CPFR & Puyallup Fire, between Fire Districts 15 & 17, as well as the D21 bond passage. We will also welcome the Edgewood bargaining unit members into this elite group. Dinner is $10.00 per person at the door. It is essential that members RSVP so we can be sure to have the proper amount of food and drink. RSVPs can be made by emailing kblank@iaff2175.org or calling 360-832-3886. Thanks -Kevin Blank VP
